To everyone who participated in the planning and installation of the sheds at the Strathcona Green Zone Resource Park, many many thanks!!
The two days of build were a great success! Certainly, building 8 cedar sheds is no small feat.We would like to extend our appreciation to all the volunteers who came out, worked hard and hopefully had a good time. I was able to speak to many of you personally, and hope that we can call upon you again to make our build events happen.
When everyone comes together, its always the great sense of unity and camaraderie that strikes in a volunteer build. We were fortunate to have so many skilled volunteers help and take charge of the construction – thank you for also leading and showing our other volunteers throughout the build. For our volunteers who don’t usually pick up a hammer, we hope that you enjoyed doing something different and learned something new – even if you were sore the next day.
There are so many of you to thank, but of course, we would like to thank the team at the Strathcona Business Improvement Association for choosing to work with us on this very inspiring project. It’s been an exciting, interesting and sometimes challenging process….there’s still some work to be done, but we’re happy to have been part of this endeavour.
Lets see where the next few months take us. Enjoy the pictures and congratulate yourselves for a job well done.
