After two sunny Saturdays in May the Library Square daycare playgrounds have been completely transformed. We added a music centre, drama stage, art centre, planting station, several planters (filled with edible plants) and more to three floors of the daycare. CBC TV was able to capture some of the excitement of the day on the evening local news.
The beautiful weather, enthusiastic volunteers, and creative designs made the work go by quickly. Whether you were an amateur studying design in school, a project manager wanting to spend time outside, an experienced landscaper, or just wanting to get your hands on some power tools for the day, everyone felt they had given back to the kids and built a brighter and more fun place to play!
