Wonderful Weekends at Library Square

After two sunny Saturdays in May the Library Square daycare playgrounds have been completely transformed. We added a music centre, drama stage, art centre, planting station, several planters (filled with edible plants) and more to three floors of the daycare. CBC TV was able to capture some of the excitement of the day on the evening local news.

Friday May 23, 2014 / 1 – 5pm

Saturday May 24, 2014 and Saturday May 31, 2014 / 9:00am – 5:00pm

Please join Projects in Place and the Vancouver Society of Children’s Centres in their 2nd project together, this time to upgrade the Library Square Children’s Centre playground. Much like the Sapphire playground upgrades, we will be incorporating concepts of sustainability, food security and environmental conservation… but multiply the play and storytelling features by a factor of TEN.

VSOCC W Pender – Planting Day

Recently Projects in Place started working in conjunction with the Vancouver Society of Children’s Centres (VSOCC) to re-design and enhance the playgrounds for some of their facilities thanks to the funding provided by Ausenco Foundation. The proposed enhancements to the playgrounds are meant to provide children and their families with opportunities to develop a sense of social responsibility, ecological awareness and sustainability skills and habits on a continual basis.
