To Everyone who participated in the build at Capilano University’s Community Garden this past weekend,
WE DID IT!
It was a great start to the season, and luckily the weather worked in our favour. We succeeded in building all but 1 of the 67 raised bed planters, 99% of the tool shed, the concrete stools, a hydroponics table, the earthmound and setting in the huge wood stumps.
We would like to thank Houston Landscapes especially for supporting Projects In Place once again with their expertise, their smiles, arranging for donations, and this time – their machinery. It was a full-on construction site, and we were all in awe of their generosity and their graciousness.
And, we would like to thank Capilano University for the opportunity to work together. Along the way, we have met great leaders, staff and students whose enthusiasm and commitment to the project have made it a success.
Once again, these Builds happen through support of our partners, donors and our volunteers.
April 22, Earth Day will be the grand opening of the garden. An invitation is extended to all for a day full of activities and celebration.
